The typical ranges in 2026

Dubai is a wide market — there are students with a camera and there are international names flown in. For a skilled, established photographer, here's roughly where the market sits:

These are market ballparks, not fixed prices — every wedding is different, which is exactly why most good photographers quote per wedding rather than list a flat menu. My own wedding photography is quoted all-in per event, with no hidden extras.

What actually drives the price

Hours & number of events. A single ceremony costs far less than a three-day Indian celebration with mehndi, sangeet and reception.
Photo only, or photo + film. Adding a wedding film is the single biggest factor — and usually the most worth it.
Second shooter. Two angles on the big moments (one on the couple, one on reactions) adds cost but a lot of coverage.
Albums & prints. A physical album is an add-on most couples are glad they kept.
Destination & travel. Out-of-Dubai or out-of-UAE weddings add travel and accommodation.
Experience. A wedding happens once and never pauses — experience is what you're really paying for.

Photo, or photo and film?

This is the question that decides most of the budget. A photo freezes a moment; a film keeps the sound and motion — the vows in their voice, the speech that made everyone cry, the first dance. Booking both with one team is usually more cost-effective than two separate vendors, and it means a single, consistent look. If something has to flex, flex the album before you drop the film. The cheapest quote is rarely the cheapest decision — you only get married once, and you can't re-shoot it. Before you book:

Watch a full gallery and a full film, not just a curated 6-second clip.
Check they've shot your kind of wedding — Indian, expat, destination — and know the rituals and pace.
Make sure the quote is all-in, so there are no surprise charges for editing, travel or extra hours.
Meet the actual person shooting it — chemistry matters when they're with you all day.
