Some faces
get remembered.

Women — models, actors and creators — across India & the UAE, cast for brand and editorial work. This volume of the roster is women only. Every brief that comes through here is paid work for a real client — a shortlist brands are cast from, not a photography service or a way to get discovered. I read every submission myself, and I’d rather have thirty faces I can actually put forward than three hundred I can’t.

What you walk away with

Six books. Pick one, or let it pick for you.

Every one is print-ready, graded so your shots look like one shoot rather than a camera roll, and carries a booking QR that routes through me. Designers charge for this. You won't be asked for anything.

Before you send anything to anyone

How to tell a real casting from a fake one

Plenty of people in this industry charge models to be represented. We don't, and we never will — but you have no reason to take our word for that. So here is the test you can run on any agency, any photographer, any casting call. Including this one.

The one rule

On a real job, the money moves toward you

If someone asks you to pay — a registration fee, a membership tier, a portfolio package, a comp card they'll build for you, a shoot you have to fund — that is the tell, however professional everything around it looks.

We will never ask you for money. Not to join, not to stay on the roster, not to be put forward for a job. If anyone ever asks you for a payment in our name, it isn't us.

You also don't need paid photographs to apply. Clear pictures taken on a phone in daylight are what we ask for first, because that is what a casting director actually wants to see.

The four questions

What a genuine brief tells you up front

Before you agree to anything, a real casting brief answers four things without you having to chase them:

  1. Who the client is — the actual brand, not "a major label".
  2. The shoot date — a date, not "sometime next month".
  3. The location — an address or a city and a studio, not "we'll confirm".
  4. The usage — where the images will appear, and for how long.

Ask for all four. If any of them stays vague after you've asked, walk away. That is true of us as much as anyone — hold us to it.

If you've already paid someone and think it was a scam, the government portal is cybercrime.gov.in, run by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Reporting financial fraud there needs you to register an account first — only the women-and-children category can be filed anonymously.

How it works

It's me on the other end — no fees, no runaround. Here's the whole path, start to finish — and yes, following me is step one.

Is this real?

The work behind the board

YKS is a working production house across Bangalore and Dubai — feature-film stills, brand campaigns, fashion editorial and actor portfolios. This is who is on the other end of your application.

Your photos and details are never made public — see how the board protects you. Booking and payment always run through me.

The bar

What actually gets you on the board

I’m not looking for a particular look — that changes with every brief. I’m looking for someone a client can book on a Tuesday and not think about again. It’s a shorter list than people expect, and almost none of it is about your best photograph.

Photographs, not glamour shots

Daylight, plain wall, hair off your face, clothes that show your actual shape. One full-length, one head and shoulders, one that looks like you on a normal day. No filters, no heavy retouching, no salon hair and makeup — a client is booking the person, and a retouched picture tells me nothing about her.

You answer, and you turn up

Most people don’t lose the job at the casting. They lose it by going quiet for four days, or arriving at eleven for a nine o’clock call. If you pick up your phone and you’re on time, you are already ahead of most of this industry — I’m not exaggerating.

You know what you won’t do

Tell me your lines before a client ever asks. Nobody minds a clear no; it’s the yes-to-everything that becomes a no on the morning of the shoot, and that’s what costs people work. Written down here, I can make sure you’re never put in a room you didn’t want to be in.

None of it costs anything — not to apply, not to stay on the board. That is deliberate: anyone charging you to be represented, or selling you a portfolio package to "get started", is running the oldest racket in this industry. What I ask is that you are over 18, camera-ready, and fill the form in properly — half-finished ones cannot be put in front of a client. It is a curated list, so being reliable and easy to direct matters more than being new or experienced.

What being on the board gives you

What you get if you’re on it

The board is a shortlist brands are cast from — not a course and not a paid shoot for you. If you’re added, here is what comes with it. None of it costs anything, now or later, and there is no contract to sign your way out of.

Registration

No joining fee, no membership tier, no annual renewal, and no cut of your first booking. If anyone ever asks you for money in my name, it is not me.

A comp card built for casting

Your photographs laid out and graded as a PDF in the format clients actually shortlist from — with your stats and a clean digitals page. Yours to keep.

Notes that make you castable

If you’re on the board: what your book is missing, how a casting day runs, and how to be easy to direct on set. If your pictures aren’t working for casting, I tell you why and what to shoot instead.

Shoots & shows

The point of a board is that work comes to it. Shoots, campaigns and shows are put in front of the faces they fit, and the booking, the schedule and the money all run through me — so you are never negotiating with a stranger on your own.

None of that is a course and none of it is a package you buy. It is what I would tell a friend who asked me how this industry actually works, and I would rather say it once properly than watch another good face waste two years and a lot of money finding out the hard way.

First — is this call for you?

This volume is casting women

Right now the open board is women only. I do cast men — but by referral, through agencies and people I already work with, for specific briefs, not from this form. Tell me which is you, so the application and the comp-card builder below open for the right people.

Before anything else

Follow the work you’re asking to be part of

Casting calls, shoot days and the briefs I am actively looking to fill go out on Instagram before they go anywhere else — often before they reach this page at all. If you are not there, you find out late.

Your handle is a required field on the form. Not to check up on you — it is the fastest way for me to see how you photograph and whether I can put you forward.

Before you start

Before you start

The roster runs in volumes and I only keep one open at a time, so that what arrives actually gets read rather than counted. Two things it is worth knowing before you spend three minutes on the form.

Open Women, 18 and over

Models, actors and creators — India, the UAE, or further afield if you can work here. Fashion, editorial, commercial, bridal and branded film. This volume is women only.

By referral Children & teens

Not through this form, ever. Casting a minor in India needs prior written District Magistrate permission under CLPRA, and that is arranged directly with a parent.

Applying happens on this page, in the form below — there is nothing to email and no one to message first. And if this volume is not you, please don’t fill the form in anyway — it lands in the same inbox as real briefs and slows down the people I can actually help.

Your photos

A strong book is ~6–10 sharp shots that show range. Casting decides in seconds from your cover — so lead with your best.

Example: think honest, not posed — a clear face shot in daylight (hair back, no filter), one full-length standing straight, and a side profile. ✓ phone photos are perfect ✗ no heavy filters, group photos, sunglasses or blurry shots

Your videos optional

A self-tape, a reel, a runway walk, a 360° turn — movement shows what a still can't, and casting asks for it. These go straight to me for casting (they're not printed in your PDF).

Ready for the real thing?

Let me shoot your portfolio properly.

Everything you just built is yours to keep — free, always. But between us: a phone photo reads as a phone photo to a casting director, no matter how good your face is. Real light, real direction, real frames — that's what makes a client stop scrolling and land on you.

  • I direct you the whole way — you don't need to know how to pose
  • Frames graded like the campaigns I shoot — yours to keep forever
  • A cover built to stop a casting director mid-scroll
  • Represented by YKS — I put you in front of the clients who come to me
  • We don't wrap until your cover is one you'd bet a booking on

I take only a few new faces a month — I'd rather shoot a handful properly than a crowd in a rush. Tell me you're in and I'll send you everything myself.

Before you apply — the honest answers

The questions I get most, including the ones people are embarrassed to ask.

Do I have to pay anything to join?

No. Joining costs nothing, now or ever — no signing fee, no portfolio fee, no registration charge, no cut of your first booking. If anyone in this industry asks you for money to be represented, walk away. That is the most common scam there is, and it is the reason I say this first.

Do I get anything if I’m not taken on?

Yes — the portfolio. You build it here as you go and you keep the PDF whether or not you end up on the board, to send wherever you like. And if I don’t take you on I’ll tell you why rather than going quiet, which is worth more than the PDF. Nothing about any of that costs anything.

Do I need professional photos to apply?

No. Phone photos are fine — a clear face shot and a full-length in natural light is enough to see what I need to see. If you're right for the roster I'll shoot you properly myself.

Do I need experience?

No. I cast for how someone photographs and how they take direction, not for how long their CV is. Plenty of the best faces on a set that day had never done a paid job before.

Will my phone number or Instagram be public?

Never. Your contact details are never published on the site and never passed to a client. Brands enquire through me, I check the booking is real and the dates work, and only then do we talk about you being on it.

Does joining guarantee me work?

No, and anyone who promises otherwise is lying to you. Being on the roster means you're in front of me when a brief comes in that fits you. Some months that's several briefs; some months it's none. I won't pretend otherwise to get your application.

Is the open call for everyone?

No — and I would rather say so plainly than waste your time. This volume of the roster is casting women only. Men are cast by referral, through agencies and people I already work with, for specific briefs — not through this form, so please don’t apply here. If you’re a brand looking to book talent, that’s the casting page, and it’s open to everyone.

Who can apply?

This volume is casting women only, 18 or over. It's a curated, selective list that brands are cast from — camera-ready, serious about commercial work — so not every application is added, and applications are read from the form only. Men are cast by referral for specific briefs, not through this form. The roster is 18+ only — casting a child artist in India needs prior written permission from the District Magistrate under the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, and that isn't something I take on.

I'm not in Bangalore or Mumbai — is it worth applying?

Yes. The roster is pan-India, and briefs come in for cities all over the country. Where you are matters for a specific job, not for whether you belong on the list.

What happens after I apply?

Every submission comes to me, not to a bot. If you fit the roster you hear back from me personally. If you don't fit right now I'd rather tell you that than leave you waiting.

Is this a modelling agency?

No. I'm a photographer and director who casts talent for the productions I shoot. There's no representation contract and nothing you get signed into — you stay free to work with anyone else, always.
