The energy in the room is the hardest thing to photograph. It’s also the only thing worth photographing. Clubs, launches, celebrations — the frames where the flash freezes a night mid-laugh. Shot close, lit hard, never posed. This is the loudest work I do, and the room always earns it.

How a night is covered

Shot to be posted the same week

Nightlife coverage is worth almost nothing if it lands a fortnight later. The point of the room is the energy in it, and that energy has a shelf life measured in days. So a night is shot flash-lit and close, and the selects that matter — the crowd at peak, the artist, the room looking full — come back fast enough to still be true.

Clubs and venues get the room, the floor and the faces. Launches and brand nights get the same, plus the product and the signage photographed properly rather than caught by accident behind someone’s shoulder. Everything arrives graded consistently, so a month of nights posted in sequence looks like one venue with a point of view rather than a dozen different photographers.
