Casting & talent · India
Need a face for the shoot?
If you're looking for a modelling agency in Bangalore, Mumbai or Delhi — here's the other option. I'm a film-trained photographer and director, and I cast the talent for the productions I shoot. One brief, one shortlist, one all-in number covering the face and the shoot together.
I'm not an agency — and that's the point
An agency represents talent and sends you cards. You then brief a separate photographer and hope the face you picked on a screen holds up under your lights, on your set, in your grade.
Here the person choosing the face is the person shooting it. I pick for how someone will actually photograph — how they hold a jawline through a long lens, whether they can carry a look for the twelfth take, how their skin reads under the light I'm going to use. That's a casting decision only a cinematographer makes.
No representation contract, no signing, no roster you get locked into. You brief me, I come back with people, and you book the shoot as one job.
How a casting actually runs
The brief
The look, the city, the dates and what it's for. Two lines is enough to start.
The shortlist
Faces that fit the brief — from the roster where it fits, sourced beyond it where it doesn't.
One number
Talent and shoot quoted together as a single all-in figure. Releases and usage agreed before we shoot.
The shoot
Same person on the casting call and behind the camera. Preview frames within 48 hours.
What I can cast
Editorial & runway
Lookbooks, campaigns and editorial — faces that can carry styling and hold a silhouette.
Lifestyle & product
Relatable, castable faces for brand and product work that has to feel real rather than posed.
Actors for brand films
People who can take direction and hold a scene, not just a frame.
Creators & UGC
Faces who can shoot to camera and carry a script in their own voice.
Bridal & jewellery
Hands, neckline and patience — the specific skills bridal and jewellery work demands.
Across India
Bangalore and Kochi as home ground; Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata and Goa on travel.
Casting in India — the questions I get
Do you run a modelling agency in India?
No. I'm a film-trained photographer and director, and I cast talent for the productions I shoot. There's no roster you get signed to and no representation contract — I find the right face for your brief, and you get one all-in number covering the talent and the shoot together.
Then why come to you instead of an agency?
Because with an agency you brief one company for the talent and another for the shoot, then hope the two match. Here the person casting is the person lighting and shooting, so the face gets chosen for how it will actually photograph on your set — not from a card.
How do I book a model for a shoot in India?
Send the brief: the look, the city, the dates, and what it's for. I come back with a shortlist and one figure covering the talent and the shoot. You book through me, not through the talent directly.
Which cities do you cast in?
Bangalore and Kochi are home ground. I regularly cast and shoot in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata and Goa, with travel built into the quote.
Can you cast a shoot you're not photographing?
Yes. Casting and coordination can be booked on their own if you already have your own photographer or crew.
What kinds of talent can you source?
Fashion and editorial models, commercial and lifestyle faces, actors for brand films, and creators for UGC-style content. If nothing on the current roster fits the brief, I source beyond it.
Do you handle releases and usage rights?
Yes. Model releases and usage terms are agreed before the shoot and documented, so you know exactly where the images can run and for how long.
Is there a fee for models to join the roster?
No. Talent never pays me anything — not to apply, not to join, not to be shortlisted. Anyone asking a model for money to be represented is running a scam, and it's the most common one in this industry.
Do you work with models under 18?
No. The roster and every booking is 18+ only. Casting a child artist in India needs prior written permission from the District Magistrate under the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, and that's a producer's responsibility I don't take on.
Tell me the brief
The look, the city, the dates. I'll come back with a shortlist and one number.
✓ Thank you — your brief is in. I'll come back today.
