Photographer in Kolkata

A city this cinematic deserves to be shot like cinema. I'm Yedukrishna Suresh, founder of YKS Productions — film-trained, covering Bengali weddings, heritage campaigns and brand work across Kolkata.

Frames worth reliving

A film background, a real client list, and a reel that travels.

8+Years behind the lens
100+Weddings filmed
200+Brand campaigns
3.2M+Views · top reel

Kolkata is the most naturally cinematic city in India — the trams, the yellow taxis, the north-Kolkata rajbaris, the light through old louvres. You don't decorate frames here; you get out of the city's way and light it honestly.

That's how I shoot it. Bengali weddings with their own rhythm and red-and-white palette, heritage and culture campaigns, and brand work that borrows the city's soul. Photo and video, one eye, one booking.

What I shoot

Each is its own craft — photo and video, usually in the same booking.

Shooting across Kolkata

North to Salt Lake, and the venues between.

Park Street and the Maidan, north Kolkata's rajbaris and Kumartuli, Ballygunge and Alipore, Salt Lake and New Town, the Hooghly ghats at dawn — and out to heritage venues in Chandannagar and beyond. Puja-season slots book early; plan ahead.

Common questions

Do you shoot Bengali weddings?

Yes — and the rituals set the shot list: gaye holud, topor, subho drishti, sindoor daan. I shoot them candid and cinematic, and deliver stills plus a film that feels like the day, not a highlight template.

Can you shoot during Durga Puja?

Yes — for brands and publications it's the city's biggest canvas. Pandal campaigns, street coverage and culture films; those dates disappear fast, so book well ahead.

Do you travel to Kolkata for a single event?

Yes. I'm based between Bangalore and Dubai and fly in for wedding days, campaigns and corporate shoots — travel is built into the one all-in quote.

How do I get a quote?

Message me on WhatsApp or send the form with the date, venue and what you're planning. You'll get availability and a single all-in number back.

Let's make something worth keeping

Tell me what you're shooting, the date and the location, and I'll send availability and an all-in quote — travel included, no surprise line items.
