Videographer in Dubai

Anyone can film it. The question is whether anyone watches to the end. Brand films, property films, events and social reels — shot, lit and cut like cinema, not corporate filler. I'm Yedukrishna Suresh, founder of YKS Productions — film-trained, making video that people actually finish watching, across Dubai.

Cinematic film by YKS Productions

Showreel

Work, in motion

A recent film — the kind of paced, graded, scored video I shoot for brands, developers and events in Dubai. Cinema sensibility, social-ready output.

Get a film made

Most corporate video in Dubai looks the same — flat lighting, stock music, a logo at the end. It ticks a box; it doesn't move anyone. I come at video from a film background, shooting cinematography and stills for the South Indian film industry, so a YKS film is lit, paced and graded the way a scene is — to make people feel something and keep watching.

That's what works for the brands, property developers and event teams competing for attention in Dubai's feed. Whether it's a 30-second reel or a multi-day brand film, the goal is the same: video that earns the watch, the share and the enquiry.

01

What I shoot

Highlight films and same-day edits for launches, galas and conferences — the energy of the room, captured.

Fashion

Fashion Films

Motion to match an editorial — designer films and lookbook videos shot like a campaign.

Which film do you actually need

“We need a videographer” covers five different jobs, each priced, crewed and shot differently. Start here.

The five kinds of video commissioned in Dubai, and where each is covered in detail.
If you needIt is reallyWhat decides the cost
Corporate & brand filmA company explaining itself — testimonials, demos, founder films, culture piecesShoot days, edit days and the deliverable list
Property filmA walkthrough that sells a unit or a developmentUnit size, access, and how many properties in one visit
Wedding filmA day that happens once, covered by people who cannot miss itHours, number of events, second shooter
Social & UGCVolume content built for the feed rather than the boardroomHow many pieces per shoot day
Campaign motionFilm shot alongside an editorial, sharing the set and the teamUsage, above everything else

If two of those apply, say so at the brief. A campaign that also needs social cutdowns, or a developer who wants a brand film as well as walkthroughs, is entirely normal — but it has to be planned as two things sharing a day rather than discovered at four in the afternoon.

03

One person, or a crew

Most video here is sold at one of two extremes: a production company that arrives with eleven people and a call sheet, or someone with a camera and an afternoon. Both are right sometimes, and the gap between their quotes gets explained as a difference in quality when it is really a difference in scale.

One person is right when the subject is real and the setup is simple — a founder talking, a walkthrough, a testimonial, a social series. A small footprint is an advantage rather than a compromise: people relax faster in a room with one camera than in a room with a lighting crew, and where the whole point is that somebody sounds like themselves, that relaxation is the production value.

A crew is right when things must happen at once. Multi-camera events. A shoot where somebody watches sound while somebody else watches light. Anything with talent, a schedule and a client on set. Attempting those alone is not thrift, it is a risk, and where it shows first is the audio.

I work both ways and will tell you which your brief needs, including when the honest answer is more than one person. A quote that quietly assumes a one-person crew for a three-person job is the commonest way a cheap film becomes an expensive reshoot.

04

Filming across Dubai

Studio or location — I know how the city lights through the day.

From Downtown and Business Bay offices and rooftops, to the Marina and Palm waterfront, DIFC, Alserkal Avenue for raw industrial texture, and the desert for scale — Dubai is one of the best backdrops in the world for film. I scout the right location for the brief, plan around the light, and arrange permits and access where a building or community requires them.

05

How it works

Step 01

Brief

Tell me the goal, the deliverables and the deadline. I reply with an all-in quote and a treatment.

Step 02

Plan

We lock the concept, locations, schedule and any cast or crew so the shoot day runs to plan.

Step 03

Shoot

I direct and shoot — cinematic, controlled, calm on set, capturing everything the edit will need.

Step 04

Edit & deliver

Edit, colour grade, sound and final cut — plus vertical reel versions for social.

06

What moves the number

One all-in figure covering the shoot and the edit. Market context sits in the cost guide.

Days

Shoot days

Several films in one day is the largest saving available — setup and travel are paid once, not once per film.

Edit

Edit days

The invisible half of a video budget, and the half that decides whether the result looks expensive or merely finished.

Crew

How many people

A one-person crew and a four-person crew are different products, not different prices for the same product.

Cuts

Deliverables

Vertical, square, subtitled, short and long. Decide before the shoot — it changes how every scene is framed.

Video questions

What kind of video do you shoot?

Corporate and brand films, property walkthroughs, weddings, social and UGC content, and motion alongside stills campaigns. Each has its own page here with the detail, because they are priced and crewed differently — the table above points to the right one.

Do you work alone or bring a crew?

Both, depending on what the brief needs. One person suits founder interviews, walkthroughs, testimonials and social work, and people relax faster with a single camera in the room. Events, multi-camera shoots and anything with talent and a schedule need a crew, and I will say so rather than quietly under-crewing a job.

What does a videographer cost in Dubai?

It is quoted per project rather than as a day rate — shoot days, edit days, crew size and the deliverable list set it. You get one all-in figure covering the shoot and the edit, agreed before anything starts. The cost guide on this site has the market ranges if you want context first.

Can you shoot photos and video on the same day?

Yes, and it is usually the sensible way. One visit, one setup, one team — and stills and film that match because the same person lit and framed both. It costs considerably less than commissioning the two separately.

How long from shoot to final cut?

For a straightforward film, one to two weeks, with the shoot booked a week or two ahead. Scripting, talent or heavier motion graphics extend that. Rush turnarounds are possible and quoted as such.

Do you write scripts and direct?

Yes. For interview-led work there is deliberately no script — a scripted person stops sounding like a person — so I prepare questions and shape it in the edit. For anything narrative or product-led, scripting and a shot list are part of the job.

What about drone or aerial footage?

I do not fly. Aerial work is a separate specialism with its own licensing, and when a film genuinely needs it, it is arranged with a licensed operator and quoted separately. Most films do not need it — a well-shot sequence at eye level sells better than an establishing shot from above.

Do you travel outside Dubai?

Yes — across the UAE and to India regularly, since I work between Dubai and Bangalore. Travel is quoted inside the same all-in figure rather than added afterwards.
